The heart of CrossBridge is its Life Groups and Ministry Teams - groups of people who serve together or meet together regularly to have fun, eat, enjoy being with their family and study God's word. Joining a Life Group is how you connect at CrossBridge and really become a part of our church family.

Practically speaking, there will never be a way for the staff or elders to personally minister to everyone who attends our church. So how do we make sure people are cared for? Life Groups. They are how we make sure people don't fall through the cracks. The people and families in a group care for, encourage, and look after each other. That's why being part of a Life Group is one of our requirements for membership-being connected to people is that important to us.
There are 8 reasons to join a Life Group.

1. How do I find a Life Group?
Start by visiting a group that's meeting near where you live. Why is this a good idea? Because you'll
meet people who:

    > Live in your same neighborhood or area of town
    > Are concerned about the same community issues
    > Who's children attend the same schools as yours

You'll probably bump into these people at the store or maybe driving through the neighborhood.

We've found that relationships form more naturally when you connect with people who live in your same geographic area.

2. Do my kids come, too?
You bet! Most families don't get enough time together-even church sometimes divides families up. Life Groups are designed around households-regardless of what your household looks like. Some of the families in our church have three generations under the same roof. It's this kind of makeup that makes Life Groups so rich!

3. Can I visit different Life Groups?
Of course! Since the purpose of a Life Group is to connect with people you enjoy being with, feel free to visit several. If the one closest to you doesn't seem like a fit-try another!

4. What happens in a Life Group?
Most groups meet for about two hours. They generally have a time of eating and fellowship (that's church talk for "hanging out together.") Then they have a time of Bible study and prayer.

If the group has families with children, everyone fellowships together. Then, the group has a Family Devotional where a fun, interactive lesson is taught that helps our kids connect with us and the Bible. Then the kids go to another room to watch a video or play while the adults have their own Bible study time. It's really a great time!
